Our center has undergone some changes! Under the new ownership of Allyson and Todd Aldrich, Spirit Equestrian is now Fox Canyon Farm.

Allyson is an amateur dressage competitor of 17 years, and current co-chair of the Santa Barbara Chapter of the California Dressage Society. Our general managers are Larisa and Jack Mantor. Larisa is a dressage trainer of over 30 years, and thoroughly experienced in barn management. Jack is a professional general contractor, and oversees staff maintenance work and new construction.

We are committed to maintaining and improving our facilities and the quality of care for our horses, their owners, and trainers. In 2023, the facility will host a full schedule of USEF/USDF/CDS recognized dressage shows, schooling shows, and clinics.

Nestled on 20 acres amid the avocado and lemon groves of Somis, California, Fox Canyon Farm is a premier training and boarding facility with five top dressage trainers. Our location offers a unique microclimate fueled by cool ocean breezes resulting in temperatures that average 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the surrounding communities of Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley.

Fox Canyon amenities include:

  • 3 full-sized dressage courts

  • 200’ x 300’ jump arena

  • 150’ x 200’ jump arena used as an additional dressage arena

  • covered round pen

  • European hot walker

  • lighted arenas for evening riding

Our arenas feature world-class GGT-Footing™ which is dragged and watered twice daily. Horses are fed premium hay 3x daily. Stalls and automatic waterers are cleaned and checked daily. Large turnouts are available with a choice of irrigated grass or sand paddocks. Nine barns provide a variety of stabling options from the popular half- or full-covered 24’ x 24’ mare motels to indoor finished box stalls featuring StableComfort™ mattress systems.
